Overview

OperatorsHub is a hiring platform built specifically for skilled operators in wildland fire, aviation, construction, and emergency response industries.

We exist because the people who do this work — firefighters, pilots, heavy equipment operators, CDL drivers — deserve better than outdated job boards, endless phone calls, and last-minute scrambles. And the companies that hire them deserve faster access to qualified, credentialed professionals.

OperatorsHub was founded by people who’ve worked the fire line, flown the missions, and run the job sites. We’ve lived the chaos of seasonal hiring. We’ve made the calls, chased the leads, and watched good opportunities slip away because the systems weren’t built for how this work actually happens.

So we built something different.

OperatorsHub is a modern platform designed around the realities of contract, seasonal, and per diem work. We make it easy for operators to manage their credentials, set their availability, and connect directly with employers. And we make it easy for companies to find qualified talent fast — without the runaround.

We’re not here to disrupt the trades. We’re here to serve the people who do the work.

Our Mission

The mission is simple: make hiring in high-stakes, high-skill industries easier for everyone involved. Whether it’s a company trying to staff a crew before sunrise or a certified operator trying to find their next paycheck, we believe the process should be fast, transparent, and built around the real demands of the field. No more chasing leads. No more waiting on callbacks. Just the right match, right away.

We created OperatorsHub because we lived the chaos of how it works today, and we knew there was a better way. Our goal is to streamline hiring in industries where time matters, where credentials count, and where the people doing the work deserve better tools to find it. We’re not here to disrupt the trades. We’re here to serve them with technology that actually works the way the field does.

Thank you for being here. Let’s get to work.

Whether you’re looking for your next gig or building your next crew, OperatorsHub is the fastest way to connect.

Chad Morris

Co-Founder & CEO

Chad Morris has built a career around service and high-stakes environments. He began his journey as a U.S. Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer and later commissioned as an Officer, spending 13 years on active duty overseeing search and rescue operations. Today, his commitment to public service continues as a firefighter responding to both structure and wildland fires, while also serving as a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves.

Originally from Huntington Beach, Chad holds a degree in finance, a master’s in organizational leadership, and has consistently been drawn to roles where accountability is crucial. After experiencing years of frustration with outdated hiring systems in both the military and fire service, he co-founded OperatorsHub. His goal was to create a more efficient way to connect skilled workers with the right jobs.

Nick Crossfield

Co-Founder & VP of Salese

Nick Crossfield’s career has been a dynamic journey through emergency response on the ground and in the air. His path began in 2010 as a volunteer firefighter and EMT, which led him to serve for four years in the U.S. Coast Guard. It was there he met his future co-founder, Chad Morris. After his honorable discharge, Nick set his sights on the sky and transitioned into a career in aviation.

His expertise as a helicopter pilot grew quickly, taking him from a helitack crew to co-piloting heavy-lift helicopters. Today, Nick is a type-rated captain in the CH-54 Skycrane and is also training to be a fire captain. In the off-season, he shares his passion for flight by instructing students and ferrying aircraft.

Nick lives in the Sierra Foothills with his wife, where they run a small farm. His hobbies include flying, farming, and spending time at mountain lakes with her and their dog.

Alex Lamb

Chief Operating Officer

Alex Lamb’s career is built on a foundation of leadership and service. He spent nine years on active duty as an Officer in the United States Army, holding positions as a Platoon Leader, Commander, and Director of Emergency Services before his honorable discharge in 2018. After the military, he pursued a new passion in aviation, attending flight school in Bend, Oregon, where he met co-founder Nicholas Crossfield.

His career as a pilot has taken him all over the United States, gaining experience in a wide range of environments. Today, he continues to serve his community as a traveling Helicopter EMS Pilot. After seeing the antiquated hiring forums that existed within aviation, Alex was eager to join the OperatorsHub team. He is passionate about bridging the gap between skilled professionals and the companies that need their talent.
